Latest PA Natural Heritage Program Newsletter Now Available

The PA Natural Heritage Program, a partnership that gathers and provides information on the location of status of plants, wildlife, ecosystems and geological structures in Pennsylvania.

The Program also operates and maintains the PA Conservation Explorer database to facilitate conservation planning and environmental permit reviews.

The participating agencies include the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Fish and Boat Commission, Game Commission and the Western PA Conservancy, in cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services.

The PA Natural Heritage Program publishes a quarterly newsletter-- Wild Heritage News--  to keep the public and interested practitioners up-to-date on news related to the Program.

For example, the November newsletter features articles on--
