Senate/House Bills Moving Last Week

The following bills of interest saw action last week in the House and Senate--

House

Limit Emergencies To 21 Days: Senate Bill 2 (Ward-R-Westmoreland) proposing an amendment to the state constitution limiting emergencies declared by a Governor to 21 days, unless extended by the 253 members of the General Assembly was passed by the House [House Fiscal Note & Summary] and now goes to voters for their approval or disapproval in the May primary election. 

Agritourism: House Bill 101 (Gleim-R-Cumberland) providing for liability protection for agritourism businesses was passed by the House [House Fiscal Note & Summary] and now goes to the Senate for action.

Hardwoods Development Council: House Bill 110 (Causer-R-Cameron) further providing for the membership on the Hardwoods Development Council was passed by the House [House Fiscal Note & Summary]and now goes to the Senate for action.
