Lunch & Learn Presentation On Mammals Of PA Hosted By PA Parks & Forests Foundation

Calling all Mammal Lovers, homeschool parents, and those looking to learn more about Pennsylvania’s mammals!

The PA Parks and Forests Foundation hosted a presentation on the Mammals of Pennsylvania on February 11 as part of its Lunch & Learn series starting at Noon on the Foundation's Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

Melinda Maker, Environmental Education Specialist with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, will provide an in-depth presentation about the mammals living in Pennsylvania, many of which can be found in our state parks and forests.

Viewers will have an opportunity to ask questions during the program using the chat function of the platforms.

Maker is currently an educator at Little Buffalo State Park, Joseph E. Ibberson Conservation Areas, and Boyd Big Tree Preservation Conservation Area. Marker is experienced and knowledgeable on conservation and wilderness topics.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Marker provides virtual programming. PPFF is happy to have Marker lend her expertise to their Lunch and Learn series.

“I have attended one of Makers programs and found her enthusiasm for mammals and education to be contagious,” said Marci Mowery, President of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. “This is a great way to get excited about the upcoming camping season!”
