Here are highlights of actions taken by agencies on environmental regulations, technical guidance and permits.

Regulations -----------------------

On March 13, the Governor’s Office published an updated agency-by-agency agenda of regulations in development and an estimated schedule for future actions.  (formal notice)

DEP Board of Coal Mine Safety published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin of proposed regulations for comment prohibiting electronic liquid-vaporizing devices at underground bituminous coal mines.

The Department of Agriculture published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin of the Order expanding the spotted lanternfly quarantine area.

The Public Utility Commission published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin related to final orders implementing Phase IV of Act 129 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program.

The Game Commission published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin of final changes to its regulations related to expanding the authority of the Executive Director to issue executive orders to address additional diseases and species beyond Chronic Wasting Disease and cervids.

Technical Guidance -------------------

On March 13, the Department of Environmental Protection posted an update to its Non-Regulatory Agenda showing the status of technical guidance in development.  (formal notice)

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin rescinding two technical guidance--

-- DEP ID: 362-0600-001. Title: NPDES Program Implementation and Memorandum of Understanding between the Bureau of Mining and Reclamation and Water Quality Protection

-- DEP ID: 362-0600-002. Title: NPDES Program Implementation and Memorandum of Understanding between the Bureau of Oil and Gas Management and Water Quality Protection. 

DEP published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin of the bond schedule for calculating bond amounts for Noncoal Mining operations.

DEP published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin of rates to be used for calculating long-term operation and maintenance cost bonds for water supply replacement for coal mining operations.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the March 13 PA Bulletin of changes to the list of companies certified to perform radon-related activities (PA Bulletin, page 1418).
