Pike Conservation District Hosts April 1 Webinar On Stream Crossings For Contractors

The Pike County Conservation District will host a free webinar for contractors and road maintenance professionals April 1 on road project stream crossings from 9:00 to 10;30 a.m.

The presenters include Wade Brown from the Penn State Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies, and Chris Ingulli, the head of the PCCD Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road (DGLVR) Program.

Brown will show and review the negative impacts of undersized crossings and poorly designed projects. He will also cover the process of using the DGLVR policy and criteria to design and install better stream crossings that will minimize environmental impacts and could greatly reduce future maintenance costs.

The program will be held via Zoom and provide plenty of time at the end for question and answers. Registration for this event is free but requested by March 29.
