Environmental Quality Board Meets On Proposed Stream Redesignations, Stream Petition April 20

The Environmental Quality Board is scheduled to hold a virtual meeting April 20 to consider a package of proposed stream resignations and a report on a rulemaking petition to redesignate a tributary to Whetstone Run in Delaware County.

The proposed stream redesignations include 13 streams in six counties -- Elk, Fayette, Indiana, Luzerne, Monroe and York.

DEP will report on the rulemaking petition asking for the redesignation of a tributary to Whetstone Run in Marple Township, Delaware County to High Quality submitted by the Darby Creek Valley Association.  DEP is recommending keeping its current designation.
