WeConservePA, Partners Host June 9 Forest Conservation Seminar

Join WeConservePA and speakers from Penn State University and the Center for Private Forests at PSU for a one-day training opportunity focused on forest conservation on June 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Topics will include the economic value of forests for water resource protection, conservation estate planning for private forest owners, and adaptive forest management plans under conservation easements.

The presentations include--

-- Economic Value of Forests For Water Resource Program - A Training Program In Benefit Transfer Methods:  Melissa Kreye, Penn State Assistant Professor;

-- Conservation Based Estate Planning for PA Forest Landowners - What Role Can Conservation Organizations Play?: Allyson Muth and Dr. Paul Roth, Center for Private Forests at Penn State; and

--  Adaptive Forest Management Under Conservation Easements - Current Status and Opportunities for Adaptation and Adoption: Allyson Muth & Jim Finley, Center for Private Forests Penn State and Katie Ombalski, Woods and Waters Consulting.
