On May 6, the PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers will host a webinar in DEP’s Local Climate Action Plan from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

DEP’s Local Climate Action Program helps municipalities across Pennsylvania create greenhouse gas emission inventories and climate action plans.

Over 40 municipalities are currently participating, thus advancing key elements of the Pennsylvania Climate Action Plan.

Join us for this webinar to learn how your community can be among those taking these critical steps to begin to slow the impacts of climate change on our water resources and our communities.

Webinar presenters include Heidi Kunka, DEP Energy Program Specialist and Daniel Rossi-Keen, the Executive Director of RiverWise.

During the webinar Ms. Kunka will provide background information about the LCAP and will promote engagement opportunities, such as helping to recruit new municipalities to the program.

Mr. Rossi-Keen, who led the recruitment effort in Beaver County, will share his experiences working with three communities in that county including how he found out about the program, why he became engaged, and what he has been doing to support these three communities and the college students who are also involved.

Click Here to register.  The webinar is free but registration is required in order to receive the link to join the event.
