Here are highlights of actions taken by agencies on environmental regulations, technical guidance and permits. 

Regulations -----------------------

On April 20, the Environmental Quality Board approved a package of proposed stream resignations and a report on a rulemaking petition to redesignate a tributary to Whetstone Run in Delaware County.

The proposed stream redesignations include 13 streams in six counties -- Elk, Fayette, Indiana, Luzerne, Monroe and York.

DEP reported on the rulemaking petition asking for the redesignation of a tributary to Whetstone Run in Marple Township, Delaware County to High Quality submitted by the Darby Creek Valley Association.  DEP is recommended keeping its current designation.

Technical Guidance -------------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 24 PA Bulletin of the proposed City of Philadelphia’s 2021 Annual Ambient Air Monitoring Network Plan for comment.

Permits ------------

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 24 PA Bulletin of final 2021 Ozone Season Nitrogen Oxide Emission Limits For Nonelectric Generating Units. 

DEP published notice in the April 24 PA Bulletin of changes to the list of companies certified to perform radon-related activities.  (PA Bulletin, page 2351)
