Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Program Offers 1-Day Stormwater BMP Training June 29 In Lancaster County; Scholarships Available

The Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Program is offering a one-day, in-person Stormwater BMP Training Workshop on June 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 in Lititz, Lancaster County.

This one-day course is designed for crews and crew leaders who manage stormwater BMPs and have not yet taken CBLP Level 1 training. It covers--

-- Chesapeake Bay stormwater background

-- Overview of stormwater BMPs and common problems

-- Routine and non-routine BMP maintenance tasks

-- Best native plants for BMPs

-- Identifying and managing invasive species

-- Developing a maintenance plan

Participants will receive the CBLP-Crews certificate upon completion of the class.

Registration fees are tiered, and range from $150-200 per person, with discounts for organizations or agencies that send multiple staff.

Scholarships

The program is pleased to offer partial ($100) scholarship funding, provided by The Campbell Foundation, for local government staff in Lancaster County. 

Scholarship funding is also available for Lancaster municipality staff to attend Level 1 training, which is a professional credential in design, installation, and maintenance of sustainable landscapes; please ask if you need info about that.
