PA Sustainable Agriculture: Listening Session - Siting & Design For Farm-Based Solar Energy Facilities Aug. 20
|
|
PA Sustainable Agriculture is hosting a Listening Session on Siting and Design for Farm-based Solar Energy Facilities August 20 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Many groups are making recommendations for where utility-scale solar arrays should (or shouldn’t) be placed. But what would farmers like to see? And what are the considerations for siting solar on farms in a way that doesn’t disrupt agricultural production? Join us for a lunchtime discussion with a panel including the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and farmers who have successfully integrated solar on their operations. Share your ideas for the alternative energy landscape you would like to see in the region. Speakers for this event include-- -- Mike Roth, Department of Agriculture -- Scott Case, Pasa Board Chair and farmer at Patchwork Farm -- Nicole Faraguna, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Click Here to register for this free event.
