The PA Forestry Association’s August newsletter is full of great information on how to improve the management and diversity of forests.  Here’s just a sampling.

Annual Symposium

The Association will hold its Annual Forestry Symposium on October 9 at the Toftrees Resort in State College.  The theme this year is New Ways To Work With Your Woods.

Explore the latest technology and recommendations for working with a consulting forester, drones, useful applications, and story maps. Enjoy well versed speakers and hands on demonstrations. Connect with other forestry minded attendees in person or virtually!

Invasive Plant Workshops

Penn State Extension is offering two Managing Invasive Plant Workshops on September 1 (Cambria County) and September 8 (Lycoming County).

These workshops will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to properly identify common invasive plants and develop strategies for treatment and control primarily using herbicide application methods.
