Highlights of the environmental and energy notices in the latest PA Bulletin-- -- On August 28, the Environmental Quality Board published the final regulation in the PA Bulletin increasing Chapters 91 and 92 Water Quality Permit fee increases which were made necessary by cuts in funding by the General Assembly. (formal notice) Read more here. -- The Department of Environmental Protection is inviting comments on proposed technical guidance Prioritizing the Review Process Under the Erosion and Sediment Control General Permit for Earth Disturbance Associated with Oil and Gas Exploration, Production, Process or Treatment Operations or Transmission Facilities. (formal notice) Read more here. -- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 28 PA Bulletin of final technical guidance on Chain Pillar Development and Longwall Mining Adjacent to Unconventional Oil and Gas Wells. (formal notice) Read more here. -- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 28 PA Bulletin of the availability of the draft Fiscal Year Report for the Reclamation fee O & M Trust Account for public comment. Comments are due September 27. No change is recommended in the $100 per acre reclamation fee. (formal notice) -- The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notices in the August 28 PA Bulletin listing additional grandfathered water withdrawal registrations and consumptive use water projects approved in July. -- The Public Utility Commission published notice in the August 28 PA Bulletin inviting additional comments on the issue of energy storage resources as electric distribution assets.
