PEMA Announces Multi-Agency Resource Center In Philadelphia County To Assist Ida Recovery

On September 10, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Director Randy Padfield announced he Wolf Administration, in coordination with Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management, will be opening a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) to assist individuals, families, and businesses affected by recent storm damage access state and local resources. “Having visited the area a number of times since Ida, I have seen firsthand the devastation that this storm has caused and the hundreds of lives it has impacted,” Padfield said. “Establishing a resource like this is a critical first step to help impacted individuals understand what help is available to them now to hasten their recovery.” This MARC is available for all Philadelphia residents. Featuring representatives from more than a dozen state, local, county, and regional agencies, the resource center will be open from Noon to 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday, Sept 9-10 at Gustine Recreation Center, 4868 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19129. In addition to local government representatives, participating state agencies include: Office of the Attorney General PA Department of Health PA Department of Human Services PA Pennsylvania Department of Transportation PA Department of Environment Protection PA Insurance Department Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Officials continue to urge residents and business owners to report storm damage to city officials online. Anyone who repairs damage is encouraged to record their efforts with photographs, documents, and receipts.
