The Department of Environmental Protection will begin accepting applications for the Agriculture Energy Efficiency Rebate Program on September 20.  The deadline for applications is March 31.  (formal notice)

The Program provides rebates to assist agricultural producers with the purchase of LED lighting or variable frequency drives (VFD) for their farming operations.

Rebates are offered for--

-- $2,000 rebate for LED lighting in agricultural buildings (up to 50 percent of equipment purchase costs).

-- $2,000 rebate for VFDs for milk vacuum pumping (up to 50 percent of equipment purchase costs. Pump horsepower 5 hp or greater).

-- $2,000 rebate for VFDs for ventilation in agricultural buildings (up to 50 percent of equipment purchase costs. Fan motor horsepower 5 hp or greater).
