PRPS Park Maintenance Institute Hosts Oct. 14 Eastern Regional, Oct. 28 Central Regional Workshops

The PRPS Park Maintenance Institute will be hosting regional conservation focused workshops during October.

October 14 - Eastern

The Eastern Regional Workshop will be held at the Millport Conservancy in Lititz, Lancaster County on October 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Kelly Gutshell, President of LandStudies will present an overview of the Millport Conservancy Land Management Master Plan and answer questions regarding development of the plan and recommendations

Participants will be guided through the trail network around the property, while discussing the essential tasks, time, resources and costs involved with managing this site.

Other topics to be discussed include trail maintenance, planting trees, invasive removal and more.

October 28 - Central

The Central Regional Workshop will be held at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center in State College on October 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Topics to be discussed include integrated pest management, integrated vegetation management specifically in wetlands and floodplain areas, trail maintenance, planting trees, invasive removal and more.
