On October 12, the Department of Environmental Protection invited comments on the large noncoal surface mining permit application submitted by Three Rivers Aggregates, LLC, for a proposed surface coal mine located in New Beaver Borough, Lawrence County.

Written comments of any length may also be provided to Chris Yeakle, environmental manager, via email at cyeakle@pa.gov,  or via mail at P.O. Box 669, Knox, PA 16232 no later than Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Written comments provided by the deadline will be addressed by DEP in a comment response document.

A copy of the permit application is available for review prior to the conference at Lawrence County Conservation District office at 430 Court Street, New Castle, PA 16101, during business hours.
