DEP Invites Comments On Proposed Changes To NPDES General Permit For Testing Of Tanks & Pipelines

The Department of Environmental Protection is inviting comments on a proposed changes to NPDES General Permit for Discharges from Hydrostatic Testing of Tanks and Pipelines (PAG-10). (formal notice) The proposed changes include-- -- Existing permittees must submit an NOI for continued coverage under the General Permit; the annual report will no longer be used to renew coverage. -- Permittees may opt to use best management practices other than those identified in the General Permit for preventing accelerated erosion from hydrostatic test water discharges if approved by the Department. DEP is also giving notice it is administratively extending the existing PAG-10 to July 10, 2022. Click Here for a copy of the draft PAG-10 NPDES General Permit. Comments are due November 22.
