New Presque Isle Specialty License Plate Unveiled

The Department of Transportation has approved a specialty plate for passenger vehicles, trucks and motor homes in Pennsylvania with the image of the Presque Isle Lighthouse.

Superintendent of Presque Isle State Park Harry Leslie, Rep. Good (R-Erie) and Steve McDermott, executive director of Presque Isle Partnership introduced the plate to the community on September 28 on the steps of the Presque Isle Lighthouse.

Proceeds will be used for historic preservation of the Presque Isle Lighthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and for the promotion of maritime lighthouse history.

The cost of the plate is $39.50, and is available to any Pennsylvania resident who has a current Pa. vehicle registration by visit the Presque Isle license plate webpage.
