DEP Hosts Dec. 2 Webinar For First-Time Applicants For DEP Grants

The Department of Environmental Protection will host a webinar December 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. called DEP Grants 101 for first-time applicants for DEP grants.

DEP hopes to encourage a more diverse range of community groups, businesses, municipal offices, farmers, and other organizations, particularly those in Environmental Justice areas, to apply for the financial assistance the agency has available.

The webinar will cover--

-- Who can apply for environmental grants, and types of projects supported

-- How to apply: An overview of the essential basics

-- Debunking a few misconceptions about applying for funding

-- Common application pitfalls and how to avoid them

-- A look at seven grant programs and what they support

-- Question & Answer session

Speakers will include Michele Devaney, Director, DEP Grants Office; John Brakeall, Regional Coordinator, DEP Environmental Justice Office.
