EPA Sets Nov. 30, Dec. 1 Hearings On Proposal To Cut Methane Emissions From Oil & Gas Operations

On November 15, the U.S. Environmental Protection agency announced it will hold virtual public hearings on November 30 and December 1 on a proposal to reduce methane emissions and other pollution from oil and gas operations. Both hearings will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST. Registration to speak at the hearing is now open. The hearing will be held via a virtual platform. For people who are not speaking but would like to watch the hearing, EPA will post a link to a livestream shortly before the hearing starts each day. EPA also will accept comments on the proposal in writing until January 14, 2022. Comments the Agency receives in writing receive the same consideration as comments received at the public hearing.
