DEP Invites Comments On Proposal To Accept Delegation From EPA To Regulate Air Emissions From Certain Landfills In PA; Jan. 6 Hearing Set

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the December 4 PA Bulletin inviting comments on its proposal to accept delegation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to regulate air emissions from certain landfills in the state.

The proposed delegation covers 38 landfills in Pennsylvania.  A list starts on page 3 of the proposal.

DEP has scheduled a hearing on the proposal for January 6 starting at 10:00 a.m. in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg.

Persons wishing to present testimony at the public hearing must contact Amanda Rodri- guez, Bureau of Air Quality, at 717-787-9702 or amarodrigu@pa.gov no less than 24 hours in advance of the public hearing to reserve a time.

Speakers will be limited to 10 minutes and should bring a written copy of their comments.
