The Department of Agriculture’s Controlled Plant and Noxious Weed Committee took action on January 20 to add three more invasive plants to the noxious weed list to control their distribution in Pennsylvania.  (formal notice)

The plants include--

-- Ravenna grass (Tripidium ravennae) (Synonym: Saccharum ravennae) (Synonym: Erianthus ravennae) as a Class A noxious weed

-- Glossy buckthorn (Frangula alnus) (Synonym: Rhamnus frangula) as a Class B noxious weed

-- Common buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica) as a Class B noxious weed.
