Dickinson College Hosts Climate Justice Teach-In March 30

Join Dickinson College students, staff, and faculty and Carlisle community members on March 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a day of learning and action on climate change, climate justice, and equity at the Climate Justice Teach-In. Multiple fun, interactive, content rich, and action oriented sessions are planned throughout the day. Teach-in sessions will include-- -- Gender and Climate Change: Paths To Climate Justice -- Climate Change, Water Quality, Community-Centered Solutions -- Food Waste At Dickson: Status, Implications, Solutions -- Climate, Consumption & Collective Action -- Zoning and Complete Streets In Carlisle -- Sustainability Is An Equity Issue -- Imperfectly Perfect Produce and Its Importance In Climate Change Conversation -- Soil is Key To A Healthy Climate, Clean Water, Social Justice -- Intersections of Sustainability and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Work -- Waste To Soil, Waste To Energy for Climate Change Mitigation -- A Dozen Ways To Save Money, Reduce Your CO2 Emissions -- Claims and Counter Claims, Come Have Your Questions Answered -- Mobilizing for Action Teach-in sessions will be held in Bosler Memorial Library (158 W High Street) and the Stern Great Room (208 W Louther Street), Holland Union Building Social Hall (28 N College Street), and Pollinator Garden (next to Public Safety, 400 W North Street) on Dickinson’s campus in Carlisle, Cumberland County. There is no remote attendance option. The Dickinson & Carlisle Climate Justice Teach-In is sponsored by Dickinson’s Center for Sustainability Education and the Bosler Memorial Library. It is an event of the WORLDWIDE Teach-In on climate solutions and justice that will mobilize 1000 communities around the world in learning and action for climate justice on March 30.
