Three Rivers Waterkeeper Seeking Active River Users For New 3 Rivers Watch Program In Pittsburgh

The Three Rivers Waterkeeper is launching a new 3 Rivers Watch Program made up of active volunteer river users to monitor the 125 miles of rivers around Pittsburgh for pollution. The program is designed so you can easily monitor the water while you are boating, kayaking, swimming, or even walking along the river. If you are passionate about creating drinkable, fishable, and swimmable waters, then you might be a great fit for our 3 Rivers Watch Program! To become a 3 Rivers Watch Volunteer you just have to watch our training videos, take a short quiz, and then you’re ready to go! Training Patrol You can also attend one of three in-person training patrols set for-- -- June 4: 3 Rivers Watch Training at Kilbuck Boat Launch (Kayaking) -- July 9: 3 Rivers Watch Training at Nine Mile Run (Hiking) -- August 6: 3 Rivers Watch Training at Deer Creek Boat Launch (Kayaking) If you're planning to become a 3 Rivers Watch Volunteer please email JessProtectPT@threeriverswaterkeeper.org to get our virtual 3 Rivers Watch Manual and additional information.
