Festival Of Wood Returns To Gifford Pinchot’s Grey Towers Sept. 24 & 25 In Pike County

The Festival Of Wood is returning to Gifford Pinchot’s Grey Towers Historic Site in Pike County September 24 & 25.  The Festival is being held in connection with National Public Lands Day.

More details will be released about this family friendly event in the near future that celebrates Penn’s Woods and Pennsylvania’s nation-leading hardwoods industry.

The ancestral family home of Gifford Pinchot, who introduced scientific forestry to America and founded the USDA Forest Service, Grey Towers stands today as a natural resource leadership and education Center.

Pinchot also served as PA Forestry Commissioner and Governor of Pennsylvania for two terms.
