DEP Invites Comments On Over 14 Miles Of 16-Inch & 24-Inch Natural Gas Gathering Pipeline Project In Susquehanna County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 6 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a major natural gas gathering pipeline project by Williams Field Services in Dimock and Jessup Townships, Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4442)

DEP’s notice said it has received a permit application from Williams Field Services for a  Chapter 105 Water Obstructions and Encroachment Permit for 83 segments of natural gas gathering pipelines-- 4.9 miles of 16-inch lines and 9.4 miles of 24-inch natural gas gathering pipelines to covey gas to gathering facilities in Dimock and Jessup Townships, Susquehanna County.

The project will result in 1,636 lineal feet of stream impacts, 6.94 acres (302,426 square feet) of floodway impacts, 7.03 acres (306,143 square feet) of PEM wetland impacts, 0.09 acre (3,862 square feet) of PSS wetland impacts, and 0.16 acre (7,128 square feet) of PFO wetland impacts all for the purpose of constructing, operating, and maintaining a natural gas gathering line for conveyance to market.
