The Our Pocono Waters initiative will release a report on the economic benefits of Pennsylvania's Special Protection Streams in the Poconos on August 16 in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County. The report-- Economic Effects of Special Protection Stream Designations in the Pocono Mountains Region-- is the first study to quantify the economic impact of the region’s Special Protection Waters. The findings will underscore the importance of maintaining robust legal protections for these waterways.
