Over 70 communities participated in the brownfields grant workshop sponsored by EPA Region III and the Department of Environmental Protection in Pittsburgh on August 24.

The workshop presented state funding opportunities for brownfields redevelopment. The purpose of the workshop was two-fold: 1) to train communities on how to apply for state and federal grants for brownfields redevelopment; 2) to foster better coordination between the state and federal brownfields programs.
