This summit is a combination of two meetings that are an opportunity to get to know more of your colleagues in working with water in the region, be better informed of emerging opportunities for sustainable water, and ways the Water Network can benefit you in the coming months. The October 20 virtual network meeting will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon; The October 27 in-person meeting will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Click Here to register. Questions should be directed to Miriam Hacker, Ph.D at hackerm@sas.upenn.edu Background For the past three years, local individuals and organizations involved with water resource protection, education, and management in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region have collaboratively developed a water network to ensure that water resources are sustainably, equitably, and collaboratively managed. This is to protect public health and the environment, enhance community and system resilience, and deliver economic, ecological and social benefits for all people in the ten county region. Currently, the SW PA Water Network includes over 180 individuals from over 65 organizations throughout the region working together to build a centralized network for open communication and knowledge exchange.
