PA Interfaith Power & Light Hosts 9-Part Virtual Caring For Creation Environmental Education Program

PA Interfaith Power and Light, in partnership with the Department of Environmental Protection, is hosting a nine-part Caring For Creation Environmental Education Program starting October 7.

Caring for Creation in Southeast Pennsylvania will be offered virtually with local partner First United Methodist Church of Germantown.

Caring for Creation in Southwest Pennsylvania will be offered in-person with partners Ballfield Farm, Garfield Community Farm, & Valley View Presbyterian Church.

Schedule Of Virtual Sessions

Each of the virtual sessions will be on the first Friday of the month from Noon to 1:00 p.m.--

-- October 7: Creation Care & Environmental Justice

-- November 4: Waste Conservation

-- December 2: Cultural & Winter Solstice Celebration

-- January 6: Water Conservation

-- February 3: Energy Conservation

-- March 3: Spring Planting

-- April 7: Organics & Human Health

-- May 5: Tree & Blueberry Shrub Planting

-- June 2: Summer Solstice Celebration, Program Results

-- October 22: Water Conservation, Ballfield Farm, Crispen St., PGH, PA, 15214, 9am-10:30am - Work on the Farm, 10:30-Noon – Hand-On Workshop

-- October 23: Water Conservation, Garfield Community Farm, 509 Wicklow Street, PGH, PA, 15224, 12:30-2:30pm

-- November 5: Energy Conservation, Ballfield Farm, Crispen St., PGH, PA, 15214, 9am-10:30am - Work on the Farm, 10:30-Noon – Hand-On Workshop

-- November 6: Energy Conservation, Valley View Presbyterian Church, 601 N. Aiken Ave., PGH, PA, 15206, 12:30-2:30pm
