The Governor’s Invasive Species Council is surveying communities, businesses, organizations, and individuals to compile experiences with nonnative invasive plants, insects, animals and pathogens on land and in waterways.

Responses are now due November 18.

The goal is to expand knowledge of the damaging impacts from invasive species, understand sources of funding for management, and establish support for a permanent statewide regional framework to manage invasive species.

Whether you have a little or a lot of knowledge about invasive species, your experiences on the ground are invaluable.

While they recognize that some native species can be aggressive challenges, this survey focuses on nonnative invasive species, which are introduced from other parts of the world and have few or no checks on their proliferation in Pennsylvania.

The survey should take 15-20 minutes.

Visit the Governor’s Invasive Species Council webpage for more information on programs, initiatives and upcoming events.
