Perkiomen Creek Finalist For Pennsylvania’s 2023 River Of The Year

The Perkiomen Creek in Montgomery County is in the running for the state’s 2023 River of the Year Award presented by the Pennsylvania Organization of Watersheds and Rivers.

In September, the Perkiomen Creek became an official PA State Water Trail, making it the newest water trail in the state.  [Read more here.]

The “Perky”, as most residents refer to it, has 14 miles of navigable waters from south of Green Lane down to the confluence with the Schuylkill near Oaks.

The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy fosters local stewardship of the Perky and its many tributaries through environmental education, watershed stewardship, and conservation programs.
