On January 6, Senate Republican and Democratic leadership named Sen. Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming) as Majority Chair and Sen. Carolyn Comitta (D-Chester) as Minority Chair of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee.

Other key standing committee chairs named were--

-- Appropriations – Sen. Scott Martin (R-Lancaster) - NEW; and Sen. Vince Hughes (D-Philadelphia)

-- Agriculture & Rural Affairs – Sen. Elder Vogel (R-Beaver); and Sen. Judy Schwank (D-Berks)

-- Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure – Sen. Pat Stefano (R-Bedford) - NEW;  and Sen. Lisa Boscola (D-Lehigh/Northampton)

-- Game & Fisheries – Sen. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) - NEW; and Sen. Jim Brewster (D-Allegheny)

The Senate must still appointment members to each committee.
