York Conservation District Hosts March 2 Writing Your Own Manure Management Plan Workshop

Do you have farm animals? This includes anyone who has horse or hobby farms.  All properties that generate manure and/or apply manure to fields must have a Manure Management Plan (MMP) to be in compliance with the state Clean Streams Law.

The York County Conservation District is offering a free Writing Your Own Manure Management Plan Workshop on Thursday, March 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at our new location – York County at Pleasant Valley Road Building, 2401 Pleasant Valley Road, York, PA.

The goal of this workshop is for participants to complete their MMP in one day.

Attendees will receive a copy of the Manure Management Manual and District staff will guide participants through a step-by-step process for developing their MMP.

Light refreshments will be provided.  A lunch break will be on your own.

The event is free, but registration is required by February 24, 2023. Register ASAP, so you don’t miss this free opportunity!

Please contact Brita Runkle 717-840-7430 or register online.
