Register Now For 2023 Watershed Congress - March 25 In-Person, March 27-31 Online

Organizers of the 2023 Watershed Congress are now accepting registrations for the in-person session to be held on March 25 at the Montgomery County Community College in Pottstown and for the online programs March 27-31.

The Watershed Congress has evolved since 1998 to advance the best available information and techniques for protecting and restoring watersheds.

The focus on networking across disciplines means that the Watershed Congress melds science, policy, and practical applications into one program.

As a result, the annual Watershed Congress is a highly anticipated event for people interested in understanding, protecting, and restoring their local streams.

Keynote speakers include—

— Michael Hartshorne, Princeton Hydro: Mike's primary training and areas of expertise include lake and stream diagnostic studies, TMDL development, watershed management, and lake restoration. Mike is particularly skilled in all facets of water quality characterization, from field data collection to subsequent statistical analysis, modeling, technical reporting, and the selection and implementation of best management practices. Mike also has significant experience in conducting detailed macrophyte, fishery, and benthic surveys.

— Tim Fenchel, Schuylkill River Greenway: Tim has been with Schuylkill River Greenways since 2006 serving in several roles and functions over the years. He has over 20 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector and over the last 15 years with SRG has managed multiple grant programs and dozens of projects. His passion is for the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund, a grant program that supports water quality projects throughout the watershed. Most recently he led a project to create an outdoor recreation outfitter that serves as a strategic partner to SRG designed to engage residents and communities with the Schuylkill River and the Schuylkill River Trail.
