PA Assn. Of Conservation Districts Awards Over $65,000 To Support 37 Water Pollution Reduction Projects By Districts

The PA Association of Conservation Districts recently awarded over $65,000 in grants to support 37 water pollution reduction projects by county conservation districts.

These projects promote water pollution prevention activities through the Non-point Source (NPS) Pollution Prevention Educational Mini-Grant Program. The projects will take place through May 2024.

“Conservation districts received funds to hold educational events for adults on topics of interest to their communities. These projects will help citizens across the Commonwealth do their part to make a difference for clean water and healthy soil,” said Brenda Shambaugh, Executive Director for the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts (PACD).

Funding for the grants, up to $2,000 each, is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act, administered by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
