The U.S. Association of State Dam Safety Officials is taking applications for its Dam Safety Scholarship Program which offers a $10,000 award to undergraduates.

Applications for the 2007-08 school year are due March 30.

Successful applicants must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to the design, construction and operation of dams.  An announcement of successful candidates will be made in June 2007.
