Better Path Coalition Hosts April 26 Webinar: No Miracles Needed - How Today's Technology Can Save Our Climate, Clean Our Air

The Better Path Coalition and the PA Climate Convergent Network are hosting an April 26 webinar on No Miracles Needed - How Today's Technology Can Save Our Climate, Clean Our Air from Noon to 1:00 p.m. as part of its virtual Brown Bag Briefing series

The featured speaker will be Dr. Mark Jacobson is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment and at the Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University.

Dr. Jacobson's presentation will be on the findings in his new book, No Miracles Needed: How Today’s Technology Can Save Our Climate and Clean Our Air, published by Cambridge University Press.

"We still have time to save the planet without resorting to 'miracle' technologies. We need to wave goodbye to outdated technologies, such as natural gas and carbon capture, and repurpose the technologies that we already have at our disposal,” says Dr. Jacobson.  “We can use existing technologies to harness, store, and transmit energy from wind, water, and solar sources to ensure reliable electricity, heat supplies, and energy security."

This event is the latest in a series of legislative tours and briefings organized by the coalition. All elected officials, regulators, staffers, members of the press, and members of the public are invited to attend.
