Harrisburg Tree Of Life Lutheran Church Meets 103% Of Their Energy Needs, And Offers A Sign Of Creation Care, With New Solar Panels

In March of this year, the Tree of Life Lutheran Church on Linglestown Road in Harrisburg completed a major solar energy project covering almost its entire roof with over 90 solar panels.

It is expected solar power will meet 103% of their energy needs for their campus of three buildings.

The donors from the congregation that made the project possible said the purpose is not only to save electricity, but to help deal with climate change, and to encourage others to take action as well.

The church is located on a busy local road and is perfectly situated to benefit from sun exposure and for their neighbors to see the results of the project.

The church leadership said they “are happy to offer this positive sign of creation care to the community.”  Read more here.
