Be Inspired! Ways You Can Make A Difference, Not Just a Headline

As we begin a new year, it’s a great time to look back on 2006 and highlight the award winning performances, the feature stories and video blogs we did in the Digest on people taking positive actions to protect and enhance our environment.

As you read about these people, organizations, companies, local governments, watershed groups, students and farmers, think about how you can make a difference in your own community.

2007 will also hold other challenges, like the budget, because environmental programs will face the possibility of further cuts as the 2007-08 budget takes shape. The budget season begins on February 6 with the Governor’s budget address.

PA Environment Digest will continue to bring you news and useful information on positive ways you can restore and protect the environment in the year ahead.

Session Schedule

The Senate and House will return for the new session on January 2 for swearing-in ceremonies, but will not do actual work until January 16 for the Senate and January 22 for the House.
