PA Interfaith Power & Light, Jewish Earth Alliance Aug. 16 Webinar: Why Should We Care About, Advocate For A Climate-Friendly Federal Farm Bill?

The PA Interfaith Power and Light and Jewish Earth Alliance will host an August 16 webinar on Why Should We Care About, Advocate For A Climate-Friendly Federal Farm Bill? From 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Every five years Congress needs to pass a new Farm Bill. Emissions caused by farming practices are worsening the climate crisis, but farms can also be a solution.

Congress is investing huge sums in agriculture, and this money should be directed to help farmers mitigate and adapt to climate change by paying farmers to reduce emissions, on-farm renewable energy, and research on soil health. As the Farm Bill is negotiated, climate change must be a priority.

76% of Pennsylvania voters agree that government should encourage farmers to use climate-friendly practices.
