SOLD OUT! Manada Conservancy: Free Native Pollinator Plants To First 50 Landowners In Swatara Creek Watershed, Dauphin County

SOLD OUT! IN 24-HOURS: The Manada Conservancy is providing free native pollinator plants to the first 50 landowners contacting the Conservancy in the Swatara Creek Watershed, Dauphin County.

The goal of the initiative is to increase biodiversity within the Swatara Creek Greenway.  Improving biodiversity within the watershed helps to improve the water quality for all of us.

The Conservancy will be giving away bundles of four plants (either shade-tolerant or sun-tolerant) to the first 50 landowners who respond.

In Dauphin County, the watershed includes the townships of Conewago, Derry, East Hanover, Londonderry, Lower Paxton, Lower Swatara, South Hanover, Swatara, and West Hanover, as well as the boroughs of Hummelstown, Middletown, and Royalton.

Audubon Mid-Atlantic and Veolia Water are partnering with the Conservancy on this project!

To reserve your plants send an email to Shawn Jacobs, Greenway Project Coordinator:  SJacobs@manada.org.   Specify your preference for shade- or sun-tolerant plants.

Plant pickup will be at Manada Conservancy's native plant nursery at the East Hanover Township Nature Park, 328 N. Crawford Rd., Grantville on Thursday, Sept. 7, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 9, 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
