Photo

The Stroud Water Research Center and PASA Sustainable Agriculture will host an in-person event on September 6 Launching The Agroforestry Project At Wild Fox Farm in Berks County from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Learn how Ben and Karah Davies of Wild Fox Farm decided to establish an agroforestry project on their diversified veggie, meat, small grain, and hemp farm.

Working with a suite of experienced partners, Wild Fox became one of the first commercial growers to cultivate hybrid hazelnuts developed by Rutgers University.

They are also planning to implement a multi species riparian buffer this fall.

Experience Wild Fox’s agroforestry journey and begin to develop your own plans for establishing or expanding trees and shrubs at your site. Bring comfortable walking shoes and all of your agroforestry questions!

Policymakers will also be in attendance to experience the newly-established agroforestry project. There will be optional opportunities for you to share your experience and ideas for government support with legislators.

-- Austin Unruh, Trees for Graziers
