DEP Citizens Advisory Council Meets Oct. 10 To Introduce New Executive Director Ian Irvin; Discuss DEP Issues Generally

DEP’s Citizens Advisory Council is scheduled to meet on October 10 to introduce its new Executive Director Ian Irvin and discuss “identifying DEP matters” with DEP Executive Deputy Secretary Jessica Shirley.

Ian Irvin

Ian Irvin is an attorney-- graduate of Dickinson Law School-- who worked for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the last eight years specializing in administrative law related to nuclear material licenses.

He served as a legal intern with DEP in 2014, an intern with the US Environmental Protection Agency Air Enforcement Division in Washington, DC, also in 2014, and was a policy intern in DEP in 2013.

Meeting Agenda

The Council’s meeting agenda includes an agency update by Jessica Shirley, CAC Committee reports and open discussion.

DEP’s Monthly Written Report to Council on agency activities is also available for review.

Public Comment Period

Normally, the Council asks individuals interested in providing public comment during the meeting must sign up two weeks in advance of the meeting by contacting Max Schultz at maxschultz@pa.gov or Ian Irvin at iirvin@pa.gov.
