Penn State Master Gardeners Of Cumberland County Host Nov. 18 Wildlife Tree Ornaments Workshop For Youth

Help birds and wildlife find food during winter! Youth ages 5-14 are invited to join the Penn State Master Gardeners of Cumberland County for the Wildlife Tree Ornaments Workshop for Youth on November 18.

The workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon indoors at the Penn State Extension office at 310 Allen Road in Carlisle.

Youth can make and take home feeders and natural ornaments to decorate outdoor trees and feed wildlife.

Projects include a cereal ring ornament, crab apple bundle, dried fruit ring and icicle ornament, canning ring birdseed ornament, and dried flower bouquet.

Visit the wildlife habitat observation station and take home information about winter bird feeding.

A parent or guardian must remain with the registered youth during the event. Come any time during the workshop hours and make one or all the projects offered.

No peanut or tree nut products will be used to make the projects.

Please park and use the front building entrance accessible from Allen Road.

Supplies for all projects are included in the $10.00 workshop fee per youth.
