Western PA Conservancy Now Accepting Applications For BHE GT&S Watershed Mini Grants In Western PA

The Western PA Conservancy is now accepting applications for the BHE GT&S Watershed Mini Grant Program to support grassroots watershed groups. Applications are due December 18.

Grants are available to support expenses related to--

-- Water Quality Monitoring-- $3,500 limit;

-- Restoration Projects-- $3,500 limit; and

-- Organizational Promotion & Outreach-- $2,500 limit.

Applicants in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Crawford, Elk, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Juniata, Lawrence, Mercer, McKean, Potter, Tioga, Venango, Washington and Westmoreland counties are eligible.

Funding for this grant program is provided by BHE GT&S, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy.

Canoe Access Grant

The Western PA Conservancy is also accepting applications for Canoe Access Development Grants for Western Pennsylvania. Deadline for applications November 20.

The Conservancy has helped to establish 11 state parks, conserved more than 250,000 acres of natural lands and protected or restored more than 3,000 miles of rivers and streams, maintains 132 community gardens and other green spaces that are planted with the help of more than 11,000 volunteers and the support of more than 9,000 members.
