PennTAP Offering 2 Funding Opportunities To Support Business Energy, Engineering Projects

The Penn State Technical Assistance Program is now offering businesses two funding opportunities to support business energy and engineering projects.

Energy Efficiency Projects

The U.S. Department of Energy has re-opened applications for small to mid-sized manufacturing firms to receive grants of up to $300,000, at 50% cost share, to implement recommendations from energy assessments.

PennTAP has been qualified as an IAC-equivalent to work with manufacturers to access this funding.

If you're a past client and had an energy assessment completed from 2021 to present, contact a PennTAP advisor today to see if your company qualifies.

Learning Factory Projects

If your business could use an extra set of engineering hands, Penn State Learning Factory can help.

Through the program, Penn State engineering students gain hands-on experience through industry-sponsored and client-based capstone design projects.

With support provided by Appalachian Regional Commission, PennTAP is able to offer project funding support to manufacturers located within 13 PA counties-- Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, Lycoming, McKean, Potter, Tioga, Warren, and Centre.

If you are located in one of these counties and would like to learn more about your eligibility to receive a funding voucher, please contact our team at PennTAP@psu.edu.

All Learning Factory project submissions are due Dec. 8, 2023.
