PA Organization For Watersheds & Rivers Hosts Jan. 12 In-Person Workshop On Climate Art And Networking For Watershed Leaders & Stewards

Join the PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR) and your watershed colleagues on January 12 for an evening of learning, thoughtful engagement, exploration, and conversation at the Climate Awakening: Crafting a Sustainable Future exhibit at Contemporary Craft located at 5645 Butler St. in Pittsburgh.

Presenting contemporary art in craft materials by international, national, and regional artists since 1971, Contemporary Craft offers innovative exhibitions focused on multicultural diversity and contemporary art.

The exhibition, Climate Awakening, offers an innovative and creative perspective for engaging with the issue of climate change by critically examining its impact through the lens of art.

POWR invites you to attend a behind-the-scenes tour followed by a hands-on art activity and a networking social.

This event will build upon the momentum generated at the Statewide Watershed Conference, where watershed organization leaders and volunteers interacted with local artists who are bringing attention to critical water issues through visual and experiential art.

The cost to participate is $10 which includes materials and refreshments. Event is capped at 30 participants.

Click Here to register by January 10.  The program will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Visit the POWR Events webpage to stay up to date on upcoming events and recordings of past online events and educational sessions.
