Pittsburgh To Host World Affairs Institute Navigating Climate Intersections March 5; Adult And Student Leaders Welcome

The 53rd Annual World Affairs Institute Navigating Climate Intersections will be held at the University of Pittsburgh in partnership with Sustainable Pittsburgh, the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh and Rotary International from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Whether you're interested in topics like fast fashion and the circular economy, climate migration havens, clean transportation, or green space access, the Institute will allow you to dive deeper into local and global climate intersections.

Join us as we navigate our new climate reality and chart a path to a more secure and sustainable future for all.

Two tracks are available.

-- World Affairs Institute for Changemakers Across Sectors: We define changemakers across sectors as people at all stages of their careers across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors who want to make Pittsburgh a more globally minded and globally connected city.

Whether you are an artist or entrepreneur, a college student or retiree, an emerging professional or a senior executive – you are invited to connect and learn more about the impact of climate change on Pittsburgh and how to build more sustainable spaces and institutions.

-- World Affairs Institute for Youth Changemakers: Designed by and created for youth, this track engages students in discussions of key issues in international affairs so that they can understand and think critically about their world. All high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible to attend.
